Well this weekend was very busy for me, but so much fun. We did our opera performance for my opera class and we had so many people show up that we actually had to turn many away because of the lack of space. My roommates and some friends came on Friday night, which was nice. I love when people support my singing.
I didn't get to sing a solo this semester, but I was in the chorus of 2 scenes. The first one was the Elixir of Love. We were cute village girls in this one. We had to wear SO much make-up...even lipstick...I hate lipstick. It always gets on my teeth or makes my mouth taste funny after awhile. It was still fun though to get all fancy looking.
The other one was Macbeth and as you can see we are not very pretty anymore. We were ugly scary witches. It was a little challenging to go from pretty to ugly in 10min, but as you can see we pulled it off. This was my favorite scene. There were about 40 girls and we sang and danced around a cauldron. We even scared many of the audience members. I snifted some lady in the audience at the beginning and it was priceless to see the look on her face. She was so freaked out. :o) If anyone ever wants to be a witch for Halloween just call me and I can do the make-up for it!!
I can't wait to do it again next semester. Here's hoping for a solo!! :o)

Oh my....I'm with Teri I couldn't pick you out for a minute. Even the one with you and your friend I was like is that really her. Good job!
If I didn't know you were supposed to be in the picture, I would have never known it was you. I still can't see you in the picture at all. Amazing what make-up can do!
Yeah, I completely agree...in the group shot I couldn't find you at all and in the pic with your friend I had to look at it for awhile until I recognized your eyes. Wow!
